Cover Reveal. Release Date. Chapter 10!?

So I've published ten chapters. I'VE PUBLISHED TEN CHAPTERS?!

That's crazy. Absurd. A year ago I was starting to think I'd always "almost" be an author. But I've written things and people have read them?! Thank you times one million to every reader. I am so excited about Daystar and the books to come.

And we have FINALLY released the Ebook and Paperback Cover of The Daystar Prophecy!!!!

And we have A DATE!

August 1st 2025.

So much in the last couple of weeks. News and official business of being my own PR manager (yay for indie publishing!)

So how did I figure out how to do all this? How did I design a cover, pick a date, navigate editing and copyrights and ISBNs?

I started with a lot of research and my favorite tool: ChatGPT. I asked ChatGPT to be my PR manager months ago, to tell me what needed to be done, to point me in the right direction on how to manage all the rings I had to jump through, and then I took action. I found my own editor, I watched many YouTube videos on self-publishing, I researched Copyrights and ISBNs and now I'm getting to work.

How did I design my cover? I researched and studied popular artwork and style for my genre, YA Fantasy Adventure, and then I started designing. I spent a few years in marketing and design in college, (for advertising not books) and using both AI concepts and Adobe I created the cover. I had to look into dimensions and sizing standards for my book length (page count) and where I'll be publishing. I also had to find a font that I felt captured the adventure and fantasy aspect that the world of Telimore offers my audience.

I started with prompts in an AI artwork software (because I cannot build people in Illustrator lol) and from there I added many of my own elements. The star, the background, the colors, and even the smoke and grain effects that grace the edges. A Cover Reveal is a huge part of publishing, and making this book official.

So is a release date. I finally find myself on a ticking clock, a countdown. I have 12 weeks until release day and I plan to use every one of those to accomplish many goals. Grow my isntagram, grow my waitlist, and build PR boxes (yes we are doing giveaways!)

The ten chapters on my website have been the push and step I needed to pursue my dream of being a published author. I could have tried to run with traditional publishing route, but at this time that wasn't my main objective. I wanted to just share something with the world. Get it out there. I have many more stories, ones about Carter and the adventure she is just starting (I admit the ending is a bit of a cliff hanger and for that I'm sorry but also I'm not!) Book two doesn't have a release date yet, but I hope to have a date by the time The Daystar Prophecy is released!

I also have stories about other worlds and realms and creatures, dragons and fae are the first to come to mind. And I cannot wait to write those one day. Keep following along, thanks for being here, and I hope you are just as excited as I am to get your hands on the first edition of The Daystar Prophecy.
